During a time when the Jews were to limit their relations with the people of Samaria, Jesus had an extraordinary meeting with a Samaritan woman at a well. This account shows many things: Jesus’ humility, his willingness to do good unto all men as there is opportunity, and his instruction, namely, that he was a gift from God. Jesus expressed the lesson that anyone who drank of the water he provided would never thirst again.
