The holy anointing oil was used to inaugurate the high priests, beginning in the Tabernacle of Moses. God instructed Moses to anoint the Tabernacle and all its contents to make them holy. Moses was also to anoint Aaron and his sons to consecration as priests of the Tabernacle of the congregation. The holy anointing oil was made with specific ingredients as instructed by God. Each component, as well as the holy anointing oil itself, has a special and antitypical meaning to the consecrated Christian, as outlined in this booklet.
