CLEAN AND UNCLEAN ANIMALS
The Jews were given instructions by God through Moses in the Book of Deuteronomy and the Book of Leviticus regarding which animals were acceptable for eating and which were forbidden (and why). As we know, the Christian is not under the Law, but we may glean instruction by applying lessons or principles from the Law. Animals considered clean (or permissible for consumption) must chew the cud and have a parted hoof. Learn how these characteristics, among others, have significance for the consecrated Christian.
